你好!今天,I will be talking about summary of Lesson 9他今年二十岁(ta jinnian ershi sui)(His age is 20 this year) that talks about age & day.

Ask About Day(习惯其xingqi)

Q :  星期几? xingqiji? (What day?)
    今天,星期几?jintian xingqiji? (What day is today?)
明天,星期几?mingtian xingqiji? (What day is tomorrow?)
昨天,星期几?zuotian xingqiji? (What day is yesterday?)
韩语版,星期几?hanyu ban xingqiji? (What day is Mandarin class?)
A : 今天星期五jintian xingqiwu (Today is Friday.)

Ask About Age(sui)

There are different phrases that can be used to ask someone’s age. Difference is that these phrases can be used for specific age group because of their word meaning.

1    1. 你几岁ni ji sui?
      This phrase is used to children age below 12.It means ‘How much is your age?’
2. 你今年多大了ni jinnian duo da le?
      This phrase can be used for people above 12.The translation for this phrase is ‘How old         are you this year?’
3. 您多打岁数了nin duo da suishu le?
     This is formal phrase that can be for elder person.
 
To answer this age question :
我今年二十岁/我二十岁
wo jinnian er shi sui / wo er shi sui
This year, I am 20/I am 20
