Entry #18 : Particle (1)

大家好！晚上好！
今天，I will be sharing about my finding about some of the particle is commonly used.

1 . ma 吗
This is used when asked question.For example , 你好吗？ni hao ma / 可以进来吗？keyi jinlai ma .
This is to be used when the question is binary yes/no question.In sentence , it is put at the end of sentence to indicate question for someone.

2 . ne 呢
This particle also used for question and be put at the end of sentence.For example ,

A : 你好吗？Ni hao ma?
B : 我很好。你呢？wo hen hao.ni ne?
A : 我也很好。wo ye hen hao.

It is used to ask the same question as what the asker asked.Like a bounce back question.

3 . de 的
One of the usage of de is to indicate possessiveness to thing.For example ,

my friend
我的朋友

Mei Mei's mother
妹妹的妈妈

father's book
fuqin de shu
父亲的书

de can also be used for adejctive.Example ,

crying sadly
shangxin de ku
伤心的哭

pretty girl
piaoliang de nuhai
漂亮的女孩

Date :15/04/2018 Time : 9:05 p.m. What I understand about Chinese Pinyin and tone is that it is how a Chinese character is pronounced Even though the alphabet looks same but it has different tone that indicate different meaning. Every Chinese character consists of three components - Initial,Final and Tone Initial is the front of word while final is at end of the word.Meanwhile tone is how high or how low a certain part of word is pronounced.
